Kellie martin is an American actress in television, film and stage actress. Her most notable parts include Christy Huddleston (Christy) as part of the period show Christy", Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) as well as Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Also, she is known for being the main character in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin was born to a department shop buyer and the kindergarten teacher. Her first acting experience was as a child at the age of seven. her Aunt, who was a nanny in Michael Landon's family, offered to help Martin get a part as an actor on the television show Father Murphy. Following her graduation from Yale University in 1982, Martin began to take her acting profession more than just a hobby. She was able to land important roles on television as well as big screens. Martin as well as being an actor, is also a skilled photographer and dancer. Martin's sister, who died from Lupus at age 19, inspired her to become the Lupus National spokesperson.
